Companies Partner on Monitoring Solutions for Neighborhood Safety
LOS ANGELES – January 1, 2021 – Emily Grene announced today the acquisition of 459 Security. The two companies will partner to accelerate Emily Grene’s mission to reduce crime in neighborhoods with affordable, effective home security products and services that help more customers see, hear, and speak to people on their property from anywhere.
Emily Grene has partnered with 459 Security since 2018 through 459’s commercial and industrial security technology offering, Access Control. The collaboration provided a strong foundation for 459 Security to lean into new APIs and capabilities, as well as develop new technologies that allow customers to use facial recognition, thermal cameras, and other capabilities to keep businesses and organizations safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the acquisition of 459 Security, Emily Grene has named a new director to oversee the security division of the company, EG Secure.
Justin Cotter, former CEO of 459 Security, has joined the team as the director of EG Secure. In this role, Cotter will report to Emily Grene’s Senior Vice President Mark Cram and integrate the operations of Emily Grene’s residential, industrial, and commercial security systems across the country. Cotter joined Emily Grene in 2020 and has held a series of leadership roles in physical security and integrated systems.
